The thoughts will keep coming, but the belief in them will stop-Mooji
If you have no interest in a thought, it has no power. You oxygenate them with your beliefs and interests- Mooji
I have often fantasized about waking up one day and not being plagued by the broken record that is my mind. Hoping that through some grand spiritual experience, they will cease to exist and I can breathe freely, walk on clouds, smile beatifically to all my students and live in bliss. I was looking for that "thing" that would make it happen for me.
What a rude awakening when I finally realized, "this is it". I will always have thoughts running through my head. There will be periods of quiet, but they will always come back. The monkey mind is a part of human existence and It is not about getting rid of it, It is about reacting differently to it.
We are creators but part of the human existence on Earth involves living in a world with limitations. The most obvious ones being gravity and a body that is not immune to death. Living in bliss does not mean that we don't have limitations, it means that our happiness is not attached to the limitations.
Below is the lovely satsang with Mooji, that inspired this post.
