I wanted to share some videos with you from spiritual teacher Adyashanti. I really resonate with his views on spirituality.
This video talks about the concept of happiness unattached to events or circumstances which he calls causeless happiness.
In the second video, he talks about the inner Guru, defines the term "awakening" and talks about the impermanence of all life experiences.
The third video is about how we should stop striving for enlightenment because it is inevitable that we will get it.
I was wondering what adyashanti thought about yoga. He seems pretty dismissive of spiritual practice in general. He says that their main value is in exhausting the spiritual seeker so they come to a crisis of identity at which point they look for their true selves, or something close to that. I want to know what he thinks of yoga cos I practice a lot because I enjoy it, and have to if I want to get anywhere with ashtanga. I think I gave up thinking it is a path to enlightenment a long time ago. Take a look at most teachers, clearly not enlightened.

Just because the teachers themselves are not finding enlightenment through Ashtanga, doesn't mean that you can't. You can find enlightenment through any avenue. Just because you are enlightened doesn't mean you can't just do things for the shear enjoyment of it. If you like Ashtanga, you just keep doing Ashtanga.
